Youth Hockey

Welcome to the home of the Sheboygan Lakers!

Our Mission

To promote the sports of ice hockey and figure skating. To promote hockey and figure skating programs at the grade school, high school, university and adult levels. To help develop the educational, physical, mental, emotional and social needs of our youth by participation in the sports of hockey and figure skating. For the SBLA to do this we need the help of volunteers to keep our programs and facility running. Please join our email list to receive news and important information to SLH members.

SLH is a member of both WAHA and USA Hockey. SLH is a Region 3 Division 2 organization.

Skaters interested in joining SLH must reside within the boundaries of Sheboygan County to register and join SLH. If you reside in another city or school district you must register with the appropriate association such as Fond du Lac, Manitowoc, or Ozaukee.

The Registration "Youth Hockey" is not currently available.

If you are signed up for one of our hockey programs for this season and would like to rent equipment, we will be handing it out before the start of each First Ice session.   The cost is $30 to rent along with a $30 deposit.  Please pay with cash or a check.

If this is your first time in our program, you can rent the equipment by paying just the $30 deposit.

All equipment needs to be returned at the end of the season, in March, and you will received your $30 deposit back.  If skating in the First Ice program and not continuing for the full season, please return the equipment after you finish the session.

USA Hockey SafeSport Program

The safety of its participants is of paramount importance to USA Hockey.  This includes not only on-ice safety, but also off-ice safety in any part of USA Hockey’s programs.

USA Hockey has long had systems in place to protect its participants from physical abuse, sexual abuse and other types of abuse and misconduct that can be harmful to youth hockey players.  These include without limitation Physical Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Screening, Locker Room Supervision and Hazing Policies, in addition to Codes of Conduct applicable to administrators, coaches, officials, parents, players and spectators.  The USA Hockey SafeSport Handbook is intended to update and collect USA Hockey’s various policies to protect its youth participants from all types of misconduct and abuse.

This SafeSport Handbook includes the various Policies that apply to all USA Hockey Member Programs.  Those Policies address

  • Sexual Abuse
  • Physical Abuse
  • Emotional Abuse
  • Bullying, Threats and Harassment
  • Hazing

By combining all of these elements into a comprehensive SafeSport Program, USA Hockey intends to create the safest possible environment for participation in hockey.
